The signature rating. How mad, frustrated, or downright salty a movie left you, rated out of 10. A cheap death, a nonsense ending, a wasted three hours — the more it stings, the more shakers it earns. Ten shakers means maximum salt.

Stars
The classic measure: how good the movie actually was, rated out of 10. Craft, story, performances. A film can be brilliant andsalty — that’s the most interesting kind.
